About
the Eastcote Lodge
Website

Hi, I'm the webmaster for this site. That's me on the left, in a photo taken with a rather unflattering but very state-of-the-art digital camera. The object I am wielding at you is a box brownie camera, from about 1939, made five years after Eastcote Lodge was formed. You will find some pictures on this site that were taken with it.

A reasonable question might be, why yet another Lodge website - after all there are plenty already. Well, the answer is that Eastcote Lodge is special to me - it is my Mother Lodge, the one I first joined. I have spent a good few years as a member of Eastcote Lodge - I went through the three degree ceremonies there, I learned to perform the ceremonies at the Eastcote Lodge of Instruction, I have been to a fair few social events with the Lodge and I like the members very much.

I also enjoy using my computer as a form of self-expression, so putting these two things together is quite sensible. I hope that some of the enjoyment that Eastcote Lodge has given me over the years comes through as you browse the site, and that you come away with a good taste in your mouth.

To get the most out of the site you would do well to have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer. If you don't, have a look round anyway and bookmark the site before you leave. Come again when you have it and enjoy a little more. In fact, bookmark the site anyway, and drop in occasionally. I am sure I'll be adding more stuff every now and then.
