Meetings and Events

Eastcote Lodge holds regular meetings four times a year, in the late afternoon and evening, in February, March, May and November, at Harrow District Masonic Centre in Kenton.

In the February meeting the newly elected Master is "installed," and he appoints and invests his officers for the year. We usually perform Degree Ceremonies from the Universal Ritual (quite an uncommon variation on the ritual, and something that the Lodge is very proud of) at the other three meetings, and occasionally a presentation is given on some interesting facet of Freemasonry. The meeting is followed by a three or four course meal in one of the Centre's dining halls.

Additionally the Eastcote Lodge of Instruction meets on the three Wednesday evenings preceding each regular meeting. Sometimes we even go to the bar for a quick drink afterwards.

The Lodge organises a trip to visit a Lodge in Bristol most years, where a very old and fascinating form of the Masonic Ceremonies is practised.

On the social side the Lodge organises a "Ladies Festival" once a year, which is usually a formal dinner-dance. The photo on the left was taken at a Festival with a 1920's theme. Also the Lodge runs a stall at the Princess Alexandra Home Grand Family Fete once a year, which is depicted elsewhere on this site. Other events are organised on an occasional basis.

Eastcote Lodge meets on the second Monday of February, and the third Mondays of March, May and November.
